Motorists Insurance Group sought to create a unified experience for the Agents that sell their policies. The experience needed to replace 11 separate portals across 12 lines of business to handle everything from initial quotes, to issuance, claims, documents and everything in between.

We delivered strategy through execution of a full custom responsive experience built on top of the Guidewire platform. The team contemplated how to get the most of the underlying technology, while creating innovative solutions where the platform lacked capabilities to deliver the best in the industry.

We took an Agent first approach. Through interviews, surveys and in-person “ride-alongs” we were able to uncover new insights and validate the assumptions we had going in. As we moved through the Experience Design process the Agents were right there with us every step of the way. We tested Flows, IA, Wires, Designs and Prototypes with them as we needed to ensure we were redefining their workflow in ways that super-charged their productivity.

Ours was the first team to activate a newly minted Motorists brand. Experience Principles, page designs, pattern libraries, style guides, and micro-animations created during our process became the benchmark expression of their brand. This work established the digital brand guidelines used across the whole of the Motorists digital ecosystem.

In collaborated with Motorists, Guidewire, and PwC’s offshore technical teams we ensured a successful, seamless integration throughout development. Additionally, Motorists was awarded Guidewire’s Innovation Award for the experience our team created.
